Simon
Fletcher grew up in the Wyre forest on a smallholding and has worked as a
journalist, teacher and poet/ performer.
In
1997, Simon set up Mini Mushaira, with Debjani Chatterjee and
Basir Sultan Kazmi, to promote an interest in multicultural arts
through poetry readings, storytelling and
workshops.
Currently a part-time literature development worker in
Wolverhampton, and advisor to ACE, West
Midlands, Simon also works with Jeff Phelps to celebrate the
life and history of the River Severn through Severn Spirit , an
entertainment in poetry and storytelling.
